Decorate with Trendy Aqua

One of the trendy decorating colors is aqua and I understand why. It’s a great accent and goes well with so many other colors; like black and white, brown, teal, even gray, and for a bold look it looks great with reds, fuchsia and even hot pink. Aqua: Fresh, calming, but sassy – tropical, but goes well in city apartments. Aqua will give you harmony and it supports gentle growth, great color for family homes! I wouldn’t go over board with aqua though – I recommend balancing it with other colors and using it only as an accent.

1. Bring color in with the Marimekko tea towels – great in the kitchen or frame them on the wall! 2. Speaking of the walls.. Wall decals ($47) are the easiest way to get the trendy color on your walls fast and easy. 3. Get a snazzy new kitchen tool, like Alessi citrus squeezer icon ($40) and keep it visible on the kitchen counter. When you’re done with aqua decorating trend – move it in the drawer. 4. Dress your dinner table in aqua – the salad bowl ($50) is great start. 5. Finish the table with the 16 piece dinnerware set ($75) from Target. 6. Or skip the new dinnerware and get some aqua on the table with the Unison’s Juniper placemats and napkins. 7. Another great accessory for your kitchen is this utensil holder ($10). 8. If you are in love with aqua, the best way to get it in your kitchen is the back splash tile. More aqua decorating ideas coming next week! , , , ,
