A person who is nice to you but not nice to your dog is not a nice person.
I truly believe this. You know there are people who seem so nice; maybe they are nice to you because they want something from you. But then you see how they treat your dog, or your child, your spouse or even the waitress in a restaurant and you realize – that person isn’t really nice at all. I think there is a lot to say about people when you see how they treat dogs, or anyone who they are not trying to impress. And the people who treat dogs or the under dogs with the same respect than others.. well, those are the truly nice people. Are you a nice person? Or just trying to impress?

Dogs are part of our family! So I agree with you, A person who is nice to you but not nice to your dog is not a nice person.

I know Christine – and there are people who are just afraid of dogs (literally, the animals)! I’m actually sometimes afraid some cats myself…
But when it comes to treating the “underdogs” or the people that you are not trying to impress; that’s when you really see if someone is a nice person.

I agree, you can learn so much from a person based on how they treat others around them!
Love that photo!

Completely true! You always have to notice how people treat waitresses, sales people, etc.

I will agree with the underlying concept, but there are some people who just dint like dogs. Hard to believe, I know. But, take my sister – she is the kindest, most giving person you will ever meet. She is compassionate, loving and ever so loyal. BUT, she doesn’t like dogs one bit, especially big ones. Perhaps, he is an exception to the rule, a she certainly is a truly nice person, regardless.
