One thing what I love about DisneyWorld; it’s always classic and you can trust getting a memorable experience and yet you will always get surprised, and every trip is a different with new things to do and see.
I’ve always wanted to visit the parks during some of their special programming, like during the Holidays or their food & wine fests, and on my recent trip to DisneyWorld for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I was able to witness the beautiful flower arrangements throughout the parks, part of the International Flower & Garden festival. The
Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival presented by HGTV was mainly at Epcot® like the name says – but we saw topiaries also at Hollywood Studios.
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival presented by HGTV is a spring special event filled with Disney character topiaries, a colorful array of flowers, gardens, live music and special presentations. The festival is held from March 2 to May 15, 2011. While we didn’t have time for the special presentations by HGTV TV talents, we enjoyed the festival around the park. The topiaries was the most popular attraction for the kids, and we took photos of all flower characters around the park.
I was really excited about the Guerlain “perfume garden” at France portion of Epcot®. They had a garden that was like a mini version of gardens in Versaillle, and the Beauty and the Beast were in the front of it.
They also had different Guerlain perfume bottles as topiaries, and you could see flowers that were in the perfumes with detailed explanation of the scents. I would have loved to do a specific tour to learn more, but we didn’t have the opportunity to do it. I am going back to DisneyWorld next month – hopefully I am able to catch more of this perfume goodness!
The International Flower & Garden Festival was seen all over Epcot®, you simply couldn’t walk around without seeing the flowers and the added festivities. They had garden themes shops along the walks and small gardens to attract butterflies and they even had a beautiful Mediterranean style garden giving you ideas how to decorate your backyard.
But what everyone loved… was the topiaries. From Snow White to Cinderella from Buzz Lightyear to Mickey Mouse – the beloved Disney characters as topiaries were a delight. Enjoy the pictures!
