I had never heard of the word “glamping” before I was invited to a press trip to Paws Up luxury camping resort in Montana to test drive the new M-Class Mercedes-Benz earlier this summer.
I was very interested to see what glamorous camping was, and I have to say, it surpassed all of my expectations. Unfortunately I personally did not stay in one of the tents, but stayed in a luxury mountains side lodge during the stay, but here are photos and some information about the glamorous tents the Paws Up resort has.
Paws Up has several different camps with different levels of accommodations in the tents. Each camp has a designated butler to serve any needs you may have during your stay. A friendly face will help you to get accommodated in your tent, and answer any questions you may have, any time of the day. Each camp also has its own private chef and you will be able to eat breakfast and dinner in the separate dining pavilion. In addition you can find snacks from the pavilion, and the lunch is served at Trough, the resort’s main restaurant. All meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the nightly rate.
The tents are gorgeous. The tent my friend Leticia was staying had a bathroom with heated floors and gorgeous glassed in shower. Yes people, this tent was more luxurious than many hotel rooms!
The entire tent was wrapped in rustic luxury, and glamping truly is a way to enjoy the nature in quiet, while still get the convenience of a shower and electricity. There was a river right next to the tents, and small gritters like squirrels were roaming around the campsite. Calm, peaceful, and definitely a way to get in touch with beautiful Montana nature while still keeping it glamorous.
This nature-friendly glamor doesn’t come cheap though. The nightly rates start at $820 and go all the up to $1,620 per night, but remember they are all inclusive and contain breakfast, lunch and dinner for two. I highly recommend experiencing Paws Up Glamping for an unique experience like no other, this would make a perfect romantic couple’s retreat,
Disclosure: My stay at Paws Up was paid by Mercedes-Benz and I was not asked to post about the resort. All of my opinions are my own.
