The month that I’ve now spent in Hong Kong passed by so quickly yet I feel like I’ve been here forever. I love to challenge myself and place myself into situations where I need to create my life from a scratch. Might sound odd but I think that this is the best way to focus on what you truly want out of life. I’m fascinated to continuously improve and learn about myself, which is what this journey is all about, besides having the time of my life, of course.
I love the fact that I never get bored here. My favorite activity after work is to grab a friend or play a good playlist and hike to the peak. In 15 minutes I’ll get from the busy streets of Wan Chai to the peaceful hills. The feeling of reaching the peak and watching the night skyline is indescribable.
Not bad options either are to take a yoga class or massage, have dinner in Soho or go to horse racing. The horses are an excuse for all the Western people to get together which sounds odd but is so much fun. The list of things to do is endless. Here, you never want to stay home after work. One of the top moments was to play tennis in Mid Levels, on a court between the rising hills and the city central. During the weekends, I’ve with no exceptions done day trips to the beautiful beaches near by. A perfect way to reset the brains after a work filled week.
For me, this journey is all about learning and exploring my passions. Being part of a young and growing company has made me confident that one day I want to run a business of my own. It has been inspiring to see how my company combines internationality, wellness and high quality products. This is something I want to do as well, maybe even sooner than what I have thought. Dreams are meant to be fulfilled, aren’t they?
P.S. A motivation booster for me has been FSF Philosophy video: check it out here.
