So, I had a talk with my children. I asked what they wanted for Christmas this year, and of course you can just guess that it was all those toys, they’ve seen on TV commercials. As you might already know, I’m boycotting Mattel, and I really hope that all the family members will too. Me and the kids talked long how we have our own small business, and when we buy gifts, we would like to buy them from other small businesses,and support other family-owned companies.
We’ll buy toys, which are handmade, or have a whole new message, and a bigger meaning.

The Celebrity Baby Blog is hosting A Month of auctions, a charity project benefiting the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic & Institute (NBCI) at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, run by world renowned breastfeeding advocate and pediatrician Dr. Jack Newman. NBCI’s mission is to assist breastfeeding mothers and their babies with breastfeeding challenges. They also provide clinical training for pediatric residents, medical students, nurses, and candidates for those who intend to become International Board Certified Lactation Consultants. Unoftunately the NBCI doesn’t receive funding from the Canadian government anymore, it is in danger of closing. The proceeds of this month’s auctions go for the NBCI.
