Fashion Friday: Stars and Stripes

TGIF! Is it just me, or did 4th of July not make you feel like you got a day off in the middle of the week but rather that you had TWO Mondays this week? I’m so ready for the weekend, but I’m not quite ready to let the stars and stripes and patriotic fashions to go out of fashion yet. No, no, no! There is nothing that says more “summer” than blue and white striped tee, and the color combo red, white and blue isn’t just patriotic, but it also goes for nautical and any coastal style outfits as well. And don’t think stars and stripes are only for patriotic colors – you can make it with other colors as well – my favorite is navy, silver and white. 4th of July may be over – but don’t abandon your stars and stripes just yet when it comes to summer fashions.

Stars and Stripes

Check out this navy blue, silver and white outfit with Nautica’s silver striped long sleeve tee and Steve Madden’s star scarf. Perfect for windy days of summer on the coast.
All clothes: Nautica Steve Madden ‘Stars’ Scarficon ($39) Lacoste ‘Rio’ Round Silicone Strap Watchicon ($150) Sebago Bala shoes ($95)
Here is another sporty outfit, and the best: this is all budget-friendly finds and super cheap, and almost all of the clothes and accessories in this outfit also come in other colors so you can really make it your own. The Converse stars and stripes flag Chucks make the outfit – and you can easily go with different colors to get your outfit together, the Chucks are grey, easy to match.

Lastly… The Nautica clothes look sporty and you can totally see sneakers and a beach tote with them, right? Well, dress the same outfit up a little and combine with comfy Born high heels, leather clutch and nice jewelry and you have an coastal town go-out-for-dinner-outfit.
