As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. –John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Mindy wanted to share this quote today part of her Gracious Me column, and it is so true. Integrity is not about words, it’s about action, even when nobody is looking. True appreciation is not about words, it’s about actions. Don’t let your words to be in conflict with your actions, and show our appreciation by living by them.
This Thanksgiving when you count your blessings, and thank others for what they mean to you and you sit around the Thanksgiving table – say even the small things that you truly are thankful for. Be grateful for the small everyday things and when people show how much they care about you with their simple actions (like taking the dog out so you don’t have to). Often all of these small things form a river of appreciation and an ocean of love, and they all together mean much more than grand gestures, or gift mountains. This Thanksgiving, show your gratitude with actions, and thank the people closest to you for the everyday actions they do that mean a lot to you.
Happy Thanksgiving my friends!
