Astor Courts was designed by Stanford White and built in 1902 for John Jacob Astor IV and with its ballroom-size main hall, an indoor tennis court and an indoor swimming pool and playground of 50 acres around it was a majestic estate. However over the years, the estate was not only taken care of well, but almost completely abandoned, until Kathleen Hammer and her husband Arthur Seelbinder bought it in 2004 and completely restored it.
