Live a little: refresh for fall
It’s the perfect week of the year for little REFRESH! Starting to get the rainy gloomy weather, summer is all gone, but fall celebrations like Halloween are quite not here.. This week I am encouraging you to live a little and refresh for fall! This weekend my husband moved our outdoor dining table to our basement – for a craft table. I plan doing some craft supply shopping this week, and start creating fall and winter decor and even thinking of DIY Holiday gifts. I had been watching the table outside for a few weeks now, getting rained on, and with no desire to pull a chair, and even have a cup of coffee in the back terrace. Now something that reminded me almost daily of summer ending turned into something I am excited about. “Fall cleaning” sounds like a chore, but think of it as “fall refresh” – it’s more about renewal than just removal. Instead of being upset you can’t wear your favorite shoes for the rain, get bright colored rain boots that aren’t just weather proof but make you smile when you wear them. It’s time to refresh your closet, your home and your body and soul and prepare for the winter ahead. Our Travel Insight writer Leigh is starting a 10 day fall detox today to refresh her body, and I’m looking forward hearing how it goes. If you want to ask questions or support Leigh – connect with her on Twitter, she is @HinesSightBlog. Detox is great for clearing your body, losing weight and above all, feeling renewed. If you think detox might be too much of a refresh for you, it’s OK, I’m craving for a Pumpkin Spice Latte as well, as part of my fall refresh rituals. How are you refreshing for fall?Join us!
