The Little Nell in Aspen
I have always enjoyed luxury travel, and my recent trip to Aspen, CO was no exception. I stayed at the Residences at the 5 diamonds
The Little Nell which is nestled at the base of Aspen Mountain (often referred to as Ajax Mountain by the locals). The Residences’ location give tenants direct ski in/out access to the mountain as well as world class views.
The Residences at the Little Nell offer a level of luxury that I have not experienced elsewhere. Guests have the option of 3 and 4 bedroom units that range in size from 2,000 to 4,100 square feet. Upon entering our 4 bedroom unit, I was greeted by an amazing view of Aspen mountain as well as a luxurious interior characterized by warm tones, dark wood floors, and granite counter tops. The Residences offer superior accommodations whether you are staying a few nights or a few weeks. Units are furnished with absolutely everything to make you feel at home.
The chefs kitchen is ready to be used by among us who have culinary talents. Top-of-the-line appliances from Viking and Miele are at your disposal. In addition a Nespresso espresso machine and coffee maker are perfect for cold mornings. Everything about this kitchen exudes luxury. The cabinets are also stocked with place settings, cutlery, appliances, and everything in between to allow guests to take full advantage of the amazing kitchen. The seating at the counter also made for great conversation in the evening while friends prepared meals.
The living area is a great space to hang out with friends après ski or on lazy mornings. Plush sofas and chairs face floor to ceiling windows that offer unprecedented views of the Colorado outdoors and Aspen Mountains. We took full advantage off the fireplace while passing the evenings when it was below zero outside. It was Colorado living at its finest.
The bedrooms are very inviting after a long day on the slopes, with most rooms featuring king sized beds. All bedrooms had large, HD flatscreen TVs, very spacious closets perfect for ski gear and sweaters. Each bedroom also had its own bathrooms of which some included jacuzzi tubs and steam showers. The bed and bathrooms truly rival the best master suites in private homes.
Perhaps my favorite part of the Residences at the Little Nell were the amenities outside the room such as the Valet on the drive out front waiting to drive your to your destination or the slopes in style in Cadillac Escalades, the ski concierge at the ready to answer questions, après ski wine from 4 through early in the evening, and the jacuzzis on the roof.
The roof of the Residences is absolutely stunning. With 360 degree views of Aspen and the surrounding views, I found myself staring off into the distance all the time. The jacuzzis are a perfect way to unwind after a long day on the slopes. Its quite fun to be in them where its very warm but snowy and cold around you- quite the juxtaposition.
As I mentioned, the views around The Little Nell are stunning. If you enjoy luxury at its finest, the Residences at the Little Nell are a most. The staff are extremely nice and at the ready to help guests with any request. They take the work out of everything so you can enjoy your stay and the beautiful town of Aspen. Travelers also enjoy housecleaning services twice a day, so you know when you leave for the slopes your room will be perfect upon return as well as ready for the evening when you return from dinner. The Little Nell offers everything you need if you are the type that does not like to venture far from the resort. Guests can get spa treatments, workout, and dine all on the premises.
