The end of summer is a joyous time for ski lovers. Snow will be on the mountains before you know it. Serious skiers are already booking the best deals, and now is the time to book according to Lifttopia, the largest online and mobile retailer of deals on lift tickets and other mountain activities. The company has kicked off its pre-season sale
with featuring more than 67,000 deals at 70 ski resorts, with prices as low as $5.99 (or 81% off).
Avid skiers know that booking early can put more money in your pocket for extra skiing trips during the season.
According to Liftopia, walk-up lift tickets prices continue to increase each season, but advance online deals are becoming more and more popular as resorts shift to a variable pricing structure. Customers who book even a week in advance can save as much as 30 percent off, but many of Liftopia’s customers are planning even farther ahead, and saving big.
So where do you want to ski? A week in each ski destination would be nice, wouldn’t it? So far, online trends at Liftopia are putting New England at the top of the industry again. Last year, New England led the pack as the highest-searched destination on Liftopia (24% of all searches), followed by Utah (17%), Colorado (16%) and NY/NJ/PA (7%).
Hotel plus Lift Tickets Equal Savings
Liftopia also has the exclusive, The Mountain Collective Pass
, which is an alliance between ski resorts and Liftopia provide you with even more savings and flexibility by offering a discount on your hotel stay, too. But, if you take the time to search hotels, you will also find that many hotels offer great ski packages, too. And booking right now, is a big bet on savings.
I did a quick search, and found that several hotels have lodging discounts for pre-season sales.
