My fourth year of blogging here will start soon, and ever since I started, I have been writing about design, style, fashion, travel and little bit of everything and not really defining my niche. I have been thinking of a clean start several times, and I even started Skimbaco Home as a more specific niche blog. I will be making a few changes here at Skimbaco Lifestyle in the upcoming months, but I am not looking for a clean start – I am going more and more back to basics – featuring things I love; design, style, fashion, travel, skiing and everything about being a woman, a mother, a career gal and a wife.
One thing has always remained the same for me, I have wanted to inspire and feature amazing women. I want to celebrate everything women, and I think that is one of the reasons the Lifetime TV Network and I get along so well. I have loved my job as the Lifetime Moms home channel editor.
Someone once asked me how I define success in my blog and asked my readership numbers. Funny thing is, that I don’t really care about numbers. I feel that I am a success if I can inspire or make one woman feel good about herself with my posts.
I want to help you to live life to the fullest, and inspire you – whether it is creating your home your sanctuary, or looking at your best with latest fashions, or enjoying your day whether it is skiing in Colorado or shopping in New York.
I got so excited when Lifetime asked me to participate to their yearly Clean Start challenge as a mentor to one of the challengers.
Lifetime’s Clean Start is a three-month long challenge, where four women are making a Clean Start in their lives, and competing for $10,000. You can follow their journey through videos and behind-the-scenes details in the myLifetime.com Clean Start Community.
I will be helping out Carolyn Braska from New Jersey. Carolyn is an Army wife who is trying to balance the demands of keeping her house in order and being a wife and a mom of three. She used to work full time, but now she is a stay-at-home mom with a newborn and a wife to a soldier, and her life has changed! Being a stay-at-home-mom isn’t as easy as people think, and being an Army wife especially isn’t as easy as people think. I am excited to learn more about Carolyn, and to share my experiences of the past ten years, and help her to live life to the fullest.
I would love you to join me at cheering Carolyn to win the Lifetime’s Clean Start Challenge presented by Glade. By voting (vote Carolyn!) you could also win $1,000 and you can even participate and vote daily!
