Gracious Me: Hand Written Thank You Notes

Random acts of Thank-You! Okay my friends: This week’s Gracious Me is going to be a little DIY. Okay a DIYTYN…Do It Yourself Thank-You Note! Here’s What You Need: Pen Paper Envelope Stamp Spirit of Gratitude With Thanksgiving on the horizon, let’s warm up our thankful spirit with a short writing assignment. So often we save the thank-you process for big holidays when the lists are so long and the thank-you writing guilt follows us like Pig Pen’s dust cloud. But this DIY isn’t a “have to,” it’s a “want to.” Showing care and gratitude in a surprising way. Who doesn’t love a hand addressed envelope among the bills and coupon ads? Can I get an “amen!” So take a moment and think of something kind someone has done for you or a relationship you are thankful for. Now that you have it, pour a cup of tea, jot down a few words of gratitude and pop them in the mail. It’s a simple act, but one that will really make someone’s day. It’s said, “It is better to give than receive” and I think you’ll find this little Gracious Me DIY to be as wonderful for you as it is for whom you wrote the note. I can’t wait to get writing and hear about your DIY experience. , , ,
