In addition to that red cashmere scarf for grandma, luxury travelers can also snatch some great Cyber Monday specials for future travel. I don’t know about you, but that fireplace in Lake Tahoe is calling my name. I want to sit right there, and have a cup of cocoa.
Destination Hotels gave me a quick peek at their Cyber Monday sale. This luxury hotel company will offer consumers savings of up to 50% off at many properties in the company’s expansive U.S. portfolio, bookable only during a 24-hour window.
More than fifteen properties in the company’s collection of upscale and luxury hotels, resorts and vacation rentals in premier vacation destinations will offer savings in celebration of Cyber Monday.
So if your dream is to go to Lake Tahoe or Vail this winter, then your wish is granted because Destination has a deal for you.
Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe will offer a Hundred-a-Day Tahoe Getaway, which includes a $100 a day resort credit, good for spa treatments, fine dining, recreation such as ice skating and Nordic skiing, and items in selected retail outlets. The offer is valid Jan. 6–April 30, 2013.
Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, a Colorado ski resort, will offer 40% off room rates this winter for two-night stays through April 13, 2013. Sign up for special offers by email before Cyber Monday and receive a special promo code via email on Monday, Nov. 26 to receive this deal.
And if the beach is more your speed, then Wild Dunes Resort located oceanfront on a barrier island off the coast of Charleston, South Carolina, will offer savings of up to 15-50% off for stays from Dec. 1, 2012–Feb. 28, 2013, in the Boardwalk Inn and Village at Wild Dunes or vacation home and condo rentals. I stayed in the Boardwalk Inn years ago and loved it. It was my first introduction to Destination Hotels, and I’ve been a fan ever since.

Cyber Monday Deals for Starwood Hotels and Resorts
I love Starwood’s Luxury Collection, and the best news of all is that the Starwood Hotel Group isn’t waiting until Monday to offer its guests some luxury travel deals. From now until Nov. 30, travelers can get up to 25% off more than
500 Starwood Hotels and Resorts worldwide. During the sale, Starwood will also donate up to 500,000 Starpoints by allocating 10 points for each booking it receives to UNICEF through its new partnership with Giving Tuesday – a foundation that is launching a movement to start a national day of giving on Tuesday, Nov. 27. In a separate initiative, Starwood will support the American Red Cross by matching any Starpoints donations made at
spg.com/redcross through Nov. 30 to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Some of Starwood’s most enticing Cyber Monday offers include $159 a night at The Westin Verasa Napa; $217 a night at The Phoenician, A Luxury Collection Resort, Scottsdale; $249 a night at W New York Downtown; $145 a night at The Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay; and $235 a night at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, Florida.
I call that luxury at a bargain, but the savings aren’t over yet. On Cyber Monday, Starwood will launch its “Five Days to Get Away” promotion, giving travelers five days to book a getaway at a selection of 35 Starwood hotels and resorts. More than just great rates, these luxury packages include extra amenities or services to enhance the guest experience. Deals include $499 a night, including lift tickets at The St. Regis Aspen Resort; $219 a night for a five-night stay, plus a beach and cave tour and $100 food and beverage credit at The Westin Aruba Resort & Casino; $339 a night with spa and dining credits at The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico; $209 per night plus a $100 Macy’s gift card per night at Sheraton Seattle Hotel; and $119 a night for a deluxe room at Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Travel must be booked by Nov. 30 for stays through March 31, 2013.
And that is just a small sampling of what is yet to come on Cyber Monday.
