I am traveling this week, I just got home from SXSW conference in Austin Texas and test driving a new Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet in Dallas, and I’m currently on my way to Florida for Disney Social Media Moms Conference.
I wanted to share two craft posts I did at Skimbaco Home last week in case you missed them, because March is National Craft Month, and I have been truly enjoying being able to spend more time with the kids and do some home decorating and crafts with them. My spring decorating isn’t really done yet, but what do you think of the Marimekko fabric that is already hung on the wall on the top of the fireplace mantel? Can’t wait to get everything done, after I get home. The blue paper flower is made of coffee filters and I added essential oil in it so it also brings a nice scent home. The flower vase below is made from a soup can and an old nautical map. It was my last page of an old nautical map my dad gave me years ago, I need to ask him to send me a new one for more craft projects. I love using maps for craft projects and in home decorating, and nautical maps are my favorites and remind me of my childhood summers, which were spent on a boat literally in the spot you can see in the map below.
Hope you are enjoying this week and get inspired to bring spring home with these fun crafts! PS. Make sure to check out the Campbell’s Select Harvest Soup and Crate & Barrel soup bowl giveaway at Skimbaco Food.
