Pineapple Fusion Cocktail to Say Good Bye to Summer

This week has been very hot in New York, and there is no other sign of fall but our closed down pool and no-white-pants-after-Labor-day rule in effect. Live life to the fullest and continue summer as long as you can with this drink that takes you right back to summer memories… The fashionable outdoor Rive Gauche Terrasse bar at Zurich’s Baur au Lac hotel created this perfect end-of-summer cocktail, “Pineapple Fusion.”

PINEAPPLE FUSION COCKTAIL

Place 6 or 7 slices of fresh pineapple and 1 teaspoon of sugar into a glass Muddle the pineapple and sugar to release the pineapple juice Add 2 ounces vodka and 1 ounce lime juice and shake Garnish with 2 stalks of lemongrass Baur au Lac hotel was voted ‘Top Hotel in Zurich’ in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2011 Gold List and it’s close to Zurich’s world-famous Bahnhofstrasse, the central Paradeplatz and Lake Zurich. The gorgeous hotel dates back to 1844, and recently completed a whopping $41 million renovation, revamping its Pavillon and Rive Gauche Terrasse restaurants as well as various rooms and suites. The pineapple fusion drink comes from Baur au Lac’s Rive Gauche restaurant, which travelers and locals alike love.
