Enjoy summer… skin deep!
Here are four of my easy summer beauty tips to keep your skin and hair beautiful this summer. I love using all natural beauty products and also love making my own DIY scrubs and lotions.
1. Beauty starts inside out!
Beauty truly starts from inside out, and what you eat and drink matters. One of the easiest beauty tricks is to drink 8 glasses of water a day – and limit the amount of sugary drinks or drinks containing caffeine. Dehydration makes your skin look more dry and wrinkled, and drinking plenty of water will help your skin look at its best.
2. Remember sun protection
The most important summer beauty tip: do NOT forget the sun lotion. I made my own DIY sun lotion
with essential oils.
3. Lavender for sunburns
See tip #2 and I hope you will not need this one… If you do get a case of sunburn, simply use Young Living Lavender essential oil to relieve the pain of sunburn. It works like a miracle! I burned my hand on the stove, and it took the pain away in a matter of minutes and helped the burn heal fast.
4. Summer hair treatment
Your hair will need some extra pampering during summer too. Try this DIY hair treatment to moisturize your hair.
Almond Oil Hair Treatment With Honey
1 Cup plain yogurt
2 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons almond oil
1 Tablespoon wheat germ
1 Pinch of salt
Mix all ingredients in a cup, then coat hair and scalp with this mixture. Massage for a few minutes before you enter the shower. Rinse off in the shower with warm water and shampoo with a mild cleanser if you still feel residue in your hair.
