Here are some pictures of Marimekko’s Fall 2007 collections, designed by Samu-Jussi Koski. He had his first Marimekko collection in spring 2005.
I have to say that I’m not totally crazy about the children’s collection. This children’s collection is modern everyday basics with bold Marimekko prints. It doesn’t really bring anything new, and while it does have the familiar Marimekko-look, it doesn’t appeal to me as much as their older collections.
The flower print is called Mehiläinen, and my favorite pieces of this collection are the skirts and the black cardigan.
This Pisaroi print is not my favorite, even though the skirt above is pretty cute. It’s just a little too much for me, especially in this multi-color theme dress.
Not to even mention, that my husband would choke in his morning cerial if he saw me coming downstairs wearing this dress.
But I love so many other pieces in Samu-Jussi Koski’s women’s collection, which was inspired by a character in Astrid Lindgren’s novel in a setting of idyllic 1920’s Swedish country side and Mia Farrow’s movie characters in the 60’s.

This sweater cardigan is pretty much the same as the children’s one, and it is made of a brand new material, 70% soy, 30% angora, I can’t wait to feel it!

Great lines, and anyone would defenately get noticed in the Mehiläinen-print flower tunic shirt.
